Artêria Art Gallery— About

Although the activities of Artêria began in early 2005, the company was only truly born under its current name in 2007. Established by Geneviève Lévesque, the gallery developed quickly thanks to the invaluable collaborators of the company, among whom are Christian Dorey, curator, Burcu Özge Ünal, coordinator, Valérie Doucet, technician in museology, and Pascal Couturier, director of the graphic communication company Chocolat Media for the conception of the website.

Since 2009, the company participated in numerous international events, including the following shows:

During these presentations, Artêria was singled out as “one of our 10 favorite galleries presenting at the AAFNYC” by the prestigious American magazine Nylon

These shows have also enabled us to place our artists in galleries around the world, namely with our partners in Argentina, Turkey, and China.

Stemming from its success in overseas markets, Artêria received numerous prizes for the development of the company in 2009:

Specializing in the exportation of original artwork, Artêria represents emerging artists as well as those in mid-career. The creators of the company have, to date, received exposure and generated sales in the USA, Canada, China, Argentina, Turkey, Japan, Australia, India, Singapore, and England.

Whether through painting, photography, sculpture. or glass, the gallery promotes bold work of high artistic quality by the new contemporary movement.

Artêria curates exhibitions in Montréal and abroad. All services linked to museology are also offered: documentation, filing, conception of transportation crates, wrapping, handling, and international transport brokering.

Active in its community, Artêria also contributes to the creation of cultural projects aiming to improve urban districts, mainly through the production of murals and frescoes.
